Assignment: Presentation on the 1930s and the 1950s.
In preparation for reading To Kill a Mockingbird, students looked over numerous primary documents about the time period in which the book was set and in which it was written. Now, students are presenting the information they learned in a 2-3 minute presentation. For full credit, each member of the group must speak, and information from three stations must be represented.
Parental Tip: Help your student to practice their presentation or quiz their knowledge on the decades. For those of you who were born in the 60s and 70s, share anything you remember about racial division and conflict.
